Gnarly Aspen

Tough environments create tough looking, gnarled and bent trees. Have you ever seen Bristlecone Pines? They are the most incredible trees I think I've ever seen. They live in harsh environments, and yet live to be thousands of years old. This aspen reminded me of those trees, though in a much simpler, much younger way.
