Bird Photography Weekly
This isn't a recent photo. I took this a few years ago just outside the window of the visitor center at work. Since that time, I have never had a Stellar's Jay stay close enough or still enough for a decent mug shot.
I love this picture. The background is a little washed out, but I love the Jay, edging ever closer to a little suet snack.

Nice picture of a very lovable bird. We were lucky to get really close-up pictures of one at Big Bear Lake
I adore Stellar's Jays, they are so exotic looking compared to our east coast ones. He certainly is eying that yummy suet cake.
