Bird Photography Weekly - White Crowned Sparrow

I don't see too many of these lovely sparrows at the feeder, so when one does show up, it is a fun experience.

White-crowned Sparrow with a Junco.

I love those bold stripes!

Nice photos! I don't see them very often either, we get more white-throated sparrows. Thanks for sharing.

I can't tell if the Sparrow thinks the Junco got the seed it wanted or what? Cute pics :)

Nice shots of the Junco and White-crowned buddies Wendy! They look like they are having a great time in the snow.

Great photos Wendy!

The scenes you have captured looks like our yard here in Maine at this time of the year.

Very beautiful birds. Nice photos. :))) Common Sparrows used be foun in large numbers in Chennai, India, but nowadays they are found in few numbers only and I am yet to take photos of one. :)))

Nice capture, Wendy. I used to see these sparrows a lot when I lived in Virginia, not so much here in Michigan. At least, not yet.

That's an unfamiliar sight for me: a white-throated on snow. Interesting to see!

The are both such sweet and innocent looking birds. Can't imagine how they survive the winter. How can we complain?

We seem to have a lot of White-crowned Sparrows this winter. Odd. There are some winters when we have none. I love them too. The head stripe positively glows.
