Millrace Park

It was a dreary, rainy day yesterday. Okay, not really dreary, but it has been rainy. So, I decided to go out and take a look around a local pond to see what birds were hanging around in the rain.

It was a great gathering:

Double-crested Cormorants and American White Pelicans.

Spotted Sandpiper

Cormorant

Yellow-rumped Warbler (aka butter-butt)

Great Egret

Cormorants and a Snowy Egret

Another butter-butt

And the highlight of the day, a Neotropic Cormorant.
I only know this because another birder pointed him out to me.

I hear birds alot, but other than the starlings that I cheer for (eating the fluffy dandelion seed on my lawn), I mostly see the birds here on your site. Lovely pics.
