SkyWatch Friday

I'd really like to get a good photograph of a Kestrel some day. In the meantime, this one will have to do, against gray skies.

Visit other SkyWatch photos here and have a great weekend!

Wonderful picture of the Kestrel! I have yet to see a Kestrel although they live here (in B.C.) for part of the year. Have a great weekend also! Thanks for stopping by.

How wonderful that you were able to catch a photo of a powerful bird. I have the hardest time trying to get birds to stay still long enough so I can take a photo.

I never would have guessed the Falco sparverius as your favorite bird :-)

This is a GREAT photo of a wonderful bird! Looking at that grey sky makes me want to heat up some apple cider.

Very good Kestrel snap. You've gotten closer to a kestrel with your lens than I have. Great photo. Have a good weekend!

A typical pose for a Kestel in autumn, on a leafless tree, against a grey sky.

Kestrels always remind me of growing up in the flat land. Many, many of them sit on wires alongside the road in the winter. I think this is a great shot.
