Bird Photography Weekly

As numerous as they are, Pine Siskins sure are nice looking birds.

I never tire of seeing them. They are so small, and so colorful. I love those splashes of yellow on their wings, and those tiny little beaks.

As I was filling the feeders the day before I took this, one flew right in front of me and landed on the feeder, and then looked at me like, "what are you doing here?" We sat and looked at each other for a little while until he finally decided I wasn't that interesting, and flew up into the tree.

They are pretty birds and this one lives in a nice habitat by the looks of it. Love the photo!

Nice capture Wendy of the abundant little guys. It never ceases to amaze me that they will stay on the feeder sometimes until you actually reach to take it down to refill it!

I get the same feeling as you when they look at you, wondering what you are doing so close to them. They are fun to watch aren't they?

The Pine Siskin was right: Just what are we doing here?
