SkyWatch Friday
Just as I returned home from my evening walk earlier this week clouds and fading light danced in the sky. I'm glad I was close to my camera. As I stood in my front yard taking these pictures, I noticed the neighbors kind of glancing around, wondering what had caught my attention. How often do I do that? Miss the beauty that is right in front of me.
There was a time not too long ago that I would stop along the road on my way to or from somewhere just to watch the setting sun. I often wondered if all those other people hurrying off to life's events even saw the wonder and beauty of what was going on right in front of them. I haven't done that in a while. I think maybe it's time to start up an old habit again.

The colors are stunning...isn't is amazing how we are drawn to watch what others so often miss? Do you think that is because we so often are looking for that perfect photo?
What pretty colors you have captured in your photos!
What a beautiful combination of colors...
What a beautiful colorful sky...
Great colours in the sky, I love the pink and blue.
Maybe if they notice you noticing, they'll notice too. ;-)
I think the photographer - amateur or professional - tend to see what others don't see. I'm an amateur and I never am without a camera. We are joined :) I'm so glad you had yours, you have take a couple of beautiful photographs there. Part of the love for photography is also the enjoyment we get in seeing others. I have enjoyed my visit. You have very nice blogs.
Gorgeous colors, gorgeous skies. Glad you stopped and both enjoyed and captured them. And glad you woke your neighbors to the beauty too.
Nature is the beauty in front of us.
You have taken it here. Beautiful colors.
The colors did dance in the sky, looks like they were having a party. Beautiful.
When we are at our city condo we tend to stay indoors and miss all of the beauty outdoors. But when we are at our cabin on Powell Lake in BC we live immersed in nature. I like that so much more! I invite you to come see my night sky at Chehalis/Centralia Airport. - Margy
That red is unreal!
Wow.
Must've been something to see.
Wow! What great pictures! I used to drive up on hills and stuff to watch the sun setting all the time, and now I think I miss it half the time. I need to remember to do that again and just take the kids with me.
